The movement “Towards a Smoke-Free Generation” is an initiative of the Dutch Heart Foundation (Hartstichting), the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF Kankerbestrijding), and the Lung Fund (Longfonds). The Cruyff Foundation supports this initiative.
The goal of “Towards a Smoke-Free Generation” is to work towards a society in which children are protected from tobacco smoke and the temptation to start smoking while growing up. Setting a good example and making environments where children spend time smoke-free are key elements of this effort.
The Cruyff Foundation encourages municipalities to make Cruyff Courts smoke-free, so that children are protected from tobacco smoke and from the temptation to start smoking.
