The Johan Cruyff Shield is a trophy presented to the winner of the Dutch Super Cup. A match between the winner of the Dutch football competition by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB Beker) and the national football league (Eredivisie). This award was named after Johan Cruyff in 1996. The Cruyff Foundation is social partner and plays a special role in this event each year.
