Gehandicaptensport Nederland and the Cruyff Foundation work together to introduce children and youngsters to goalball, boccia and wheelchair rugby. These are three sports in which children with a physical or visual impairment are given the opportunity to further develop themselves. Their ambition, perseverance and talents are given space to grow. In this way, we create opportunities for sport and play together.
The Cruyff Foundation supports Gehandicaptensport Nederland in its youth programmes. Through clinics, open training sessions and multisport days, children and young people can get acquainted with and take part in these sports. For some athletes, their sporting development continues in a talent team, namely the Cruyff Foundation Talent Team for boccia or goalball. These young athletes are trained by a talent coach, take part in competitions, and are guided with great care and expertise. In the Cruyff Foundation Talent Teams, enjoyment and development go hand in hand.
