
Sander Westerveld surprised with his very own Cruyff Court in Liverpool
Former Liverpool FC goalkeeper and Cruyff Foundation ambassador Sander Westerveld was at the centre of a special tribute as he was surprised during the unveiling of a Cruyff Court named after him at Lakeside School in Liverpool. The Reds’ legend, who won a FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup treble with the Merseyside outfit in 2001, was not aware that the court would feature his name when he unveiled the new facility in a touching ceremony attended by children who had the opportunity to enjoy a kickaround with the Dutchman at the new court.

Jurriën Timber opens Cruyff Court on Curaçao
Arsenal defender Jurriën Timber officially opened his own Cruyff Court today on the island of Curaçao. As the winner of the Johan Cruyff Talent of the Year Award, the former Ajax star received a Cruyff Court named after him. His choice for a location was clear from the start: Curaçao, the island where his mother was born.

Cruyff Legacy 14K 2025 breaks records
The 9th edition of the Cruyff Legacy 14K was one for the books. A record number of almost 7,500 runners and walkers gathered at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on Sunday to support the Johan Cruyff Foundation. Together, they raised the impressive amount of €776,435 for sports projects for children with special needs. And the counter is still running!
