For weeks, Paris was all about the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Incredible sporting achievements were made and celebrated. All eyes were on Paris, but now it’s time for the children and youngsters. The Johan Cruyff Foundation steps in for these children and their (sports) dreams, just like during the Games in London, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.

OUR NEW AMBASSADOR: NIELS VINK
Niels Vink, the 21-year-old Dutch wheelchair tennis player, is our new ambassador! With his physical and mental spirit and positive attitude, he is a great representative for our Foundation. At the age of one, Niels lost both legs and the tips of his fingers due to a meningococcal bacterium, which led to him being in a wheelchair from a young age.

Our volunteer for 16 years: Lidy
Since 2008, Lidy has been an valuable volunteer at the Cruyff Foundation. Alongside a team of volunteers, she contributes to events, sports projects, and serves as a buddy for newcomers. In addition to her many memories, she has also had beautiful and personal moments with Johan Cruyff himself.

OPEN NOW: Cruyff Court Rafael van der Vaart
Former top footballer Rafael van der Vaart reopened the Cruyff Court in his hometown. Cruyff Court Beverwijk was initially established in 2009 and, after years of intensive use, due for a refurbishment. The large field, located in the middle of a residential area, received a new artificial grass surface and a new name: Cruyff Court Rafael van der Vaart!

Heroes of the Cruyff Court: young leaders like Adam in action
Cruyff Courts are a place for youth like Adam (13 years old) to further develop themselves. Cruyff Foundation Coaches - community sports coaches and youth workers - offer various programs, including Heroes of the Cruyff Court. Adam participated in this with his friends, and together they organized "FC STRAAT" qualifiers for the entire neighbourhood.
