On Sunday 24th April 2022, one day before what would have been Johan’s 75th birthday, thousands of participants will be running or walking into action from the Johan Cruyff ArenA .
This event will allow us to raise money together for vulnerable children, making sure they can develop through sport. Because this is unfortunately by no means something that is guaranteed to happen, regardless of how vital it is. Will you join us? Sign up now!
Cruyff Legacy 14K; One you walk for someone else!
The Cruyff Legacy 14K was created a few years ago in memory of Johan Cruyff to keep his legacy alive. Johan once said: “If you ever get the opportunity to do something for someone else, make sure you do it”. And you now have the opportunity to help children, simply by participating with the Cruyff Legacy 14K. That’s how simple it can be.
Event information
Participants can choose different components; 14K Run, 5K Run, 14K Walk and the Kids Run. The start and finish of all components will take place in or around the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Just outside the stadium a starting point will be created for the 5K and the 14K Run. Depending on the distance chosen, your route will take you past Johan's parental home in Betondorp, the Cruyff Court, Sjaak Swart Field and other highlights related to Johan Cruyff. It offers an excellent opportunity to reflect on his legacy, the social initiatives he has developed and his contribution as a player and coach in soccer. All participants will be festively welcomed at the finish in the stadium.
Companies/groups can also participate with a team and the various components are of course accessible to athletes with disabilities.
