Yesterday we had a magical day! We inaugurated the new Cruyff Court Les Roquetes, in Spain, together with Ronaldinho Gáucho and our Spanish board member Carles Puyol.
The Cruyff Court was opened by Ronaldinho Gaucho, Carles Puyol, the mayor of Sant Pere de Ribes, Abigail Garrido, Susila Cruyff and Jordi Cardoner.
Ronaldinho: “Johan Cruyff Cruyff was one of the best players ever. (...) As a child in Brazil, I had no pitches like the one we're inaugurating today in Les Roquetes. This is a very necessary project because it means that all the boys and girls will have a place to learn values and do sport.”

Carles Puyol: “Today is my debut as a board member of the Cruyff Foundation and I am very happy and pleased to be part of this project. I remember Cruyff as a legendary player, a great coach and above all as a wonderful person who was concerned about others.”
Together with Obra Social "la Caixa" and FUNDACIÓ FC BARCELONA, we continue transmitting the values of sport to children, making football more than a sport. This Cruyff Court is one of 15 Cruyff Courts that we will realize together with Obra Social "la Caixa" and Fundació FC Barcelona. With this project we already opened Cruyff Court Xavi Hernández in Teressa, Cruyff Court Hristo Stoichkov, Cruyff Court Sergio Busquets, Cruyff Court Carles Puyo and Cruyff Court Gerard Piqué.
We aim to help vulnerable children integrate by giving them the space to sport and play. Children need this space to learn, to make friends and to improve physical and mental health.
