A day full of sport, fun and new experiences

From trying out new sports to taking on challenges together, the Cruyff Foundation Girls' Event gave girls the opportunity to discover a variety of sports and physical activities in an accessible and inspiring way.

Throughout the day, participants could take part in no fewer than 14 different sports clinics, ranging from Pitch Your Dream, led by Olympic swimmer Kira Toussaint, to wheelchair basketball with Only Friends. The clinics weren't about winning or being the best, but about having fun, and pushing personal boundaries.

Creating space for girls

Sport is about so much more than just being active. It helps children build self-confidence, develop social skills and make new friends. Yet, for girls, taking part in sports activities isn't always a given.

Through the Cruyff Foundation Girls' Event, we aim to encourage girls to get active and show them that there is a place for everyone in sport. By offering a variety of activities in a positive and safe environment, we create space for girls to try new things, challenge themselves and discover their own talents.

In the lead-up to the National Cruyff Foundation Girls' Event, several local girls' events also took place at Cruyff Courts across the Netherlands.

Together, we make a difference

The enthusiasm, energy and countless smiling faces made the Girls' Event a truly special day. A day when over 300 girls not only discovered new sports, but also had fun together and created lasting memories.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication of all the girls, coaches, clinic leaders, volunteers and our partner PwC. Thanks to their enthusiasm and commitment, we can look back on a successful second edition.
