The Cruyff Legacy 14K Run is cancelled this year. This is in response to the most recent developments concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19). The special sports event, in memory of Johan Cruyff, would take place on Sunday April 26, 2020.
Due to the large number of participants and the uncertainty about the further course of the corona crisis, we had to make this decision – after intensive consultation – together with the authorities involved.
Our first priority is the safety and health of the participants, volunteers, spectators, organizers and other stakeholders. We also consider it is irresponsible to organize such an event at this time, claiming the deployment of crucial professional groups.
With a heavy heart we have to conclude that there is no alternative date available for this year. The next edition will therefore take place in 2021, where we hope to welcome all participants, volunteers, spectators and other stakeholders.
