Today, more than 6,600 enthusiastic participants gathered at the Johan Cruijff ArenA for the Cruyff Legacy 14K. Walkers and runners took on the challenge to complete a route of 5 km or 14 km, while the youngest participants joined in the special Kids Run in the stadium.

This eighth edition of the event broke all records, raising an impressive amount of 667,149 euros for our projects.

The route, starting from the Johan Cruyff ArenA, passed by iconic locations from Johan Cruyff's life. Participants walked through Betondorp, the birthplace of Johan Cruyff, where his passion for football began. The route also included the Cruyff Court in Betondorp, a place for many children and young people who gather daily to play sports.

The Cruyff Legacy 14K is not only a tribute to the legacy of Johan Cruyff but also a fundraising event. Cruyff believed in the endless power of sport in the development of children. The proceeds from the event enable us to support and develop impactful sports and play projects, with a focus on children for whom sports are not a given. For example, children with disabilities. More than half of children with disabilities do not participate in sports weekly

Jordi Cruyff also cheered on the runners in the ArenA: "Fantastic to see all these people participating for the Cruyff Foundation. And wonderful that this event, in memory of my father, keeps getting bigger."
