With its FC Barcelona Foundation, FC Barcelona wants offer children all over the world a better future. By means of the ¨Barçakids¨, ¨Futbolnet¨ and ¨Making dreams come true¨ programmes, but also through partnerships with other charities such as the Johan Cruyff Foundation. The partnership with the Cruyff Foundation is part of a triangular partnership with the La Caixa Foundation (Obra Social ´la Caixa’). They will jointly realise 15 new Cruyff Courts in Catalonia from 2016 to 2021. Together they want to increase the social inclusion of children in disadvantaged areas, with the focus on offering sports for vulnerable youth.

The results of the partnership have been clearly visible since 2016. For example, new Cruyff Courts were created in the cities Pobla de Segur, Badia del Vallés, Martorell, Sant Guim de Freixenet and Fuentealbilla, opened by Carles Puyol, Sergio Busquets, Hristo Stoichkov, Gerard Piqué and Andrés Iniesta respectively, all legendary players or formers players of FC Barcelona. New Cruyff Courts will be created in the coming years as well, with the support of players from the first team and heroes from the past.
