Great news! Tonight Wesley Sneijder announced that after a beautiful international football career, he will now start a new chapter as ambassador of the Cruyff Foundation! We are very proud that Wesley will help us continue the Cruyff Legacy: helping children move up by being active.
Wesley is a very wellknown Dutch football player who ends his football career as national football player this week, after his 134th interland for the Dutch eleven.
Wesley is really proud to perform as an ambassador for the Foundation that Johan Cruijff, who he's always admired, founded.
"I’ve become a proud ambassador of the Johan Cruyff Foundation! I think it’s amazing that they help children to develop themselves through sports. It is my dream to realize a Cruyff Court at a refugee camp on the Greek island Lesbos, together with the Foundation and the Movement on the Ground Foundation of Johnny de Mol. Refugee children especially need a safe place to play. They live in inhuman conditions and really have the need to 'just' be a kid. Therefore I want to ask you to help me realizing this dream.
