More than 900 children gathered in the Cruyff Foundation Open Day in Barcelona.
Today we celebrated the 19th edition of the Open Day in Barcelona, an emblematic day dedicated to inclusive sport and leisure. The event brought together more than 900 children and young people, with and without disabilities, at the CEM La Mar Bella in Barcelona for a morning full of activities, fellowship, and fun.
The Open Day is the Cruyff Foundation's sporting event par excellence, which year after year highlights the transformative power of sport in the lives of young people. This year's event featured the participation of members of the Cruyff family, board members, ambassadors, representatives of sports institutions, sponsors, collaborating organisations, and Cruyff Foundation friends.
At the Cruyff Foundation we reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities in sports. Sport not only improves physical and emotional health, but also promotes social integration, especially for children with disabilities. Through play, they discover their abilities, strengthen their self-esteem and develop essential skills for their daily lives.
Faithful to Johan Cruyff's legacy, we work in partnership with different organisations to expand the range of sports available throughout the country, thus making it easier for more children to enjoy sport on equal terms.
