This new Cruyff Court is the thirteenth to be inaugurated in partnership with the "la Caixa" Foundation, and has the collaboration of the City Council of La Línea de la Concepción and the Provincial Council of Cádiz.
The Cruyff Court in La Línea de la Concepción is the latest of the 13 Cruyff Courts that have been promoted in different provinces of Spain thanks to the joint work of the Cruyff Foundation and the “la Caixa” Foundation.
Through this alliance, both entities have joined forces to build, maintain, and promote 13 Cruyff Courts, a project that prioritizes unique areas to promote inclusion and social transformation for children and young people through sports. The La Línea de la Concepción City Council, for its part, collaborates by providing the space, assuming responsibility for maintenance, and participating in the organisation of activities.
A social transformation project
The Cruyff Courts project, whose main objective is social transformation, consists of the installation of small, free-to-use football pitches with the aim of promoting values such as respect, responsibility and teamwork, as well as healthy lifestyle habits.
In addition, this initiative promotes two projects: the school football tournament ‘Salid y disfrutad 6vs6’, and the Community Program, which teaches young people from different neighborhoods how to organize their own tournaments, thus fostering their commitment and personal development by becoming role models in their environment.
