As part of the Community Program, this week a new Coach Course was held at the Collbató Residential Training Campus in Barcelona.
For four days, a group of 14 participants received theoretical and practical training aimed at empowering young people in their neighbourhoods through sport.
The program trains new coaches to create and manage youth teams, as well as to assume the role of leaders and involve boys and girls in the activities that take place on the Cruyff Courts, turning these spaces into true engines of social transformation.
A new module on adapted sports was also included in the course, enabling the coaches to apply inclusive strategies in future activities and training sessions.
These new coaches will be responsible for leading the ‘Heroes of the Cruyff Courts’ project, which focuses on organising the ‘Salid y disfrutad 6v6’ school football tournament for children aged 10 to 12 from the different Cruyff Courts across Catalonia.
