What a special night we had yesterday! During the eleventh edition of the Dutch fundraising event Cooking for Charity we raised more than €250.000 to create space for children with a disability! The special theme of the evening was wheelchair tennis.

During Cooking for Charity Esther Vergeer, the Dutch talent Fee Lentze and former wheelchair tennisplayer Rody de Bie told about the difference wheelchair tennis made in their life. Johan Cruyff once said: "If you pick up the ball a thousand times, you can eventually also pick up a fork or knive. Now that's the power of sports and that's quality of life."

To support more wheelchair tennis and sports projects for disabled children, our guests joined the lottery, bought portraits of Johan and took part in the auction. We raised €250.150! A part of this money will benefit the activities with the Esther Vergeer Foundation and the International Tennis Federation, with whom we've been working for years.

Michelin-starred chefs Jonnie and Thérèse Boer from De Librije supervised the dinner.
