Cruyff Foundation Open Day

The Cruyff Foundation Open Day takes place on Wednesday the 22the of September. Like previous years the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam is the place where over 1500 children with and without a disability can enjoy the posibilities of sport. Thus the children take part in various sports and games play with and against their (sports) idols.

The sport projects that are supported by the Cruyff Foundation give sports demonstrations and several clinics where children may participate, such as, wheelchair basketball, judo, climbing, horse riding, volleyball, fitness, football and much more. Every year we try to show some new sports and recent years we had sledge hockey, wheelchair rugby, (kick) boxing, fencing and cycling.

The joy of the children is the most important thing during this event. Therefore there is always a fantastic performance by a famous artist. Last year, Ambassador William Spaaij, a musical star, had a swinging performance.
